James E. Carlow, 80, of Hudson Avenue died Tuesday in Leonard Hospital in Troy after a long illness.
He was born in Green Island and was an Army veteran of World War II. He received the American Service Medal, the Asiatic Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
Mr. Carlow was an auto mechanic and operated Carlow's Garage in Green Island for more than 60 years with his father and brother.
He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Gasoline Dealers …
